Shakkal the Blood Mage

Shakkal was born a high elf in a small faction that specializes in the art of blood magic, but it was only known to a handful of people that he is only half elf. Shakkal's father was a demon and so Shakkal has to deal with his demonic half. Though he never knew his father, he left Shakkal one single gift for him, a dragon egg. Shakkal and the dragon, Theldressa, grew up together and because of their strong connection, Theldressa was able to give him a tear when his demonic power overtook him. As Theldressa grew bigger, Shakkal realized that she could not stay hidden much longer and people would soon come after her. This is why he decided to travel. Now, the few people who do know of Shakkal's demon half, know of the tear and seek it for their own gain.

Rayakar the Wild

Rayakar is a wood elf druid who used to be a protector for Greenwood, a secluded wood elf village. One year, the wood elves were assaulted by a cult looking to overtake their land. Though Rayakar defeated the assaulters, he was cursed by one of the sorcerers. After he was cursed, Rayakar changed and grew to enjoy the new power and strength that came with the curse. Rayakar soon left his people, choosing a life of solitude. When Rayakar met Shakkal and Sprug, they offered for him to join them whenever he wanted but they didn't push for him to find a cure for the curse, which he respected. Though he would deny it, Rayakar often traveled around with them and became known as one of the guild's Blood Brothers, even though he never officially agreed to an allegiance with the guild. The Blood Brothers were what people came to call the five strongest fighters below Shakkal in the Blood Guild.

Jaree of the Scale

Jaree is a lizardfolk, born as the son of the chief of the tribe. Jaree was not the only son however, and so rather than fight his brother, Jaree decided to leave the tribe. Shortly after he left, he met a rakshasa by the name of Shivisi. The two became close friends and began to travel together. When Jaree and Shivsi met Shakkal and Sprug, Shivsi hit it off with them as well. Shivsi was close to Shakkal and the others and so although he was not as strong of a fighter as Shivsi, he stuck around with them and Shakkal and the others accepted him.

Eryad the Talon

Eryad was a male harpy. He lived in a tribe of harpies and being a rare male, he was tasked with being one of the main protectors of the tribe, but he'd grown bored with his simple life. When Shakkal and Sprug ran into the harpy tribe, Eryad saw them and was intrigued. Eryad, eager to hear stories of their travels, protected them from the wrath of his tribe. When the two decided to leave, Eryad couldn't resist the temptation and decided to go with. Eryad was the first person to officially travel with Shakkal and Sprug. He was also one of the Blood Brothers.

Noro and Wild.png
Noroah

Noroah's mother was a harpy from a tribe that saved the town of Memorial. Rather than live with the tribe, her mother fell in love with an elven man and they stayed in town. Noro's parents were later killed by a monster known as Gar'thul when they were on their way back from a trip through the mountains. The town of Memorial took care of her after her parents were killed, but Noro seeks vengance for her parents death.

Shady and Snozz

Shady and Snozz are two half kobold, half gnoll trickster/rouges. Though they call themselves cousins, their true blood relation is unknown. Shady and Snozz were conceived during a raid on their kobold camp by a group of gnolls. Their existence should have been near impossible, but the only thing that made sense was their conception being possible via the high amounts of magic in their kobold caverns. Being neither kobold or gnoll, the two found that they had no true place to go or call home and so the two left their tribe when they were only a few years old. Shakkal being the only person that ever showed them kindness, they were more than willing to pledge their allegiance to the Blood Guild.

Sprug the Black

Sprug was a black minotaur warrior that was assigned the task of guard at the Noble House. It is there that he first met Shakkal. When the two first met, Sprug had a strong dislike towards him. Later on, Shakkal apologized for his previous actions and the two actually became quite close. When Shakkal told him that he was going to leave, he offered for Sprug to come with. Sprug was shocked by this offer, but eventually came to realize that he'd always wanted to leave the guard to become stronger. With their strong friendship and goals, the two set off on a journey together that would lead to the creation of the Blood Guild. Sprug was considered Shakkal's right hand man and one of the 5 Blood Brothers.

Shivsi the Fang

Shivsi was a naztharune rakshasa that craved freedom. She did not have the courage to leave the organization until she met Jaree. The two traveled together until she met Shakkal and Sprug, and they joined them. Shivsi was one of the Blood Brothers, the only female member, an assassin/rogue.
